One of the most beautiful (and green) gardens in Windhoek lies at the base of the Tintenpalast, Namibia's Parliament Building in the city centre. This old fort is said to be Windhoek's very first building, and was used by the German army to defend their hold on the city. In more recent times, it was a museum, but now stands empty, however it's rich history still make it worth a visit.
