Why Travelers Love This
This one-day Zen retreat is designed for those seeking a break from the busy modern world, set in a beautiful Zen temple in Yamanashi. While the temple can be difficult to reach by public transportation, it is easily accessible via a private bus from Shinjuku, taking you to a serene location far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Experience Zazen (Zen meditation) in the crisp, dignified atmosphere, enjoy calming matcha green tea, and savor a Shojin Ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) lunch that engages all five senses. Simply sitting and listening to the sounds of wind and water will help quiet and clear your mind. Please note that the retreat will be conducted in Japanese only. Participation is limited to women, and both solo travelers and groups are welcome.
